Saturday April 18th 2009 was filled with excitement as we attended the Xanadu convention out here in Sunny Las Vegas.

We had the opportunity to present two back to back workshops with authors, Lynn Crain and Erin Sinclair. We discussed Kick butt heroines in scifi novels and the second workshop was a discussion on e-book publishing, the pros and cons.

Once we had our lunch we meandered back inside with our books in hand and ready to sign away. Well to our surprise we were seated at a table right smack in the middle of Dean Mitchell, David Decio and James Dodd. To some of you who aren’t familar with them, they have acted in movies and shows such as Harry Potter, Hellboy, Dr. Who, 007 and Star wars.

We sat and chatted the entire afternoon with all of them and I can’t tell you what a blast we had, it was just truly amazing, having some of my favorite actors this close.

The best part was when I received a kiss and hug from David Decio when we left..he was just awesome.

Xanadu is an incredible convention put together by two great guys, Alan White and Scott Anderson, along with their awesome crew: Jacqueline Monahan / Press Liaison

Lynne Kourtidis / Registration Lead / Public Relations

Brenda Dupont / Masquerade Maven

Elizabeth Guernsey / Marketing

Keith T. W. Anderko

Together this team put together a convention worth attending. If you can you are a scifi, fantasy or horror buff this is the place to be, believe me they don’t disappoint.

you can find their web page at:www.xanadu.com

Book by AP Miller

This review or book is not intended for people under 18 due to the graphic sexual descriptions.

Let me start off by saying thank you to Patti, who co-authors with Andrew Miller to become AP Miller, for enjoying my review of their publisher Noble Romance Publishing.

This story has the whole good vs. evil theme throughout the book. Each chapter starts with a scripture from the bible. I can honestly say that I found it weird when I first started reading, but by the end of the book, I found them to be clues for the chapter ahead. For those easily offended by biblical references and erotica in the same book, then this is not for you as I found it to be kinky.

The main character is Andrew, a man with a purpose, who lives by the good book and helps those in need. Close to his minister and is always at his church to help when needed. And he is a virgin. His goal is to save him self for marriage for that special someone. Then he helps what he assumed was a helpless woman, and that decision changes his life.

Enter in his worst nightmare. A succubus demon by the name of Pathrusim, who’s goal in life is to fully corrupt good men by giving them the sex, and then making them do bad things to get more sex from her until they sign over their soul to her.

She tries her hardest to corrupt him by taking away his inhibitions. She can change into any female form and she uses these forms to seduce him. She almost succeeds, yet Andrew is stronger than her in his faith. Then their situation changes.

Pathrusim, or Patti, goes from bad-ass demon who does not know anything about love, to keeping house for Andrew. She gives him whatever he needs, not knowing that Andrew is not fighting for his salvation but for hers. And Andrew goes from virgin to a ladies man and to becoming a more dominant figure in their lives.

The sex in this story is hot. The man is having sex with a demon, granted she can be any form, but Andrew starts to fantasize about her in natural form. There is a guardian angel and more sex, some bondage, and all in between Andrew is still convinced he can save Patti.

The love that blossoms between the two is no surprise. It is the ultimate two people from two different worlds, yet Andrew gives Patti what she needs and that in turn gives Patti the courage to love Andrew. He sees past her demon form and asks her what she wants, not what she can do for him.

Bottom line, I liked the story. While I stumbled over the demon name, I was impressed by the whole moral conflict that Andrew had to go through. Patti would not have been his first choice, but the advice of his minister, helped him the see the light! There is one part of the story though that I wished was answered, though I can guess that when a man has lots of sex, he starts to build up his confidence as a man. I would recommend this book.

Rating: 4 Cups

Andrew is a decent young man, a good Christian who is saving himself for marriage. After hearing a woman’s screams, coming from an alley, he rescues the damsel from two thugs and takes her home. Then the nightmare begins.

Pathrusim is being attacked by two demon hunters when Andrew comes to her rescue. She finds him heroic and brave. Now she wants him all for herself, body and soul.

Once Andrew hears the deadbolt of the door, then Pathrusim throwing herself on him, he realizes he is trapped. He explains he is waiting for the right girl and his marriage night. She explains he has been saving himself for her. Without anymore being said, she immediately seduces him, taking exactly what she wants from him. Andrew tries quoting Bible verses and thinking of everything to purge this sin from him, but she is stronger. Pathrusim informs she is a succubus and takes what she wants, and she plans on bringing him right along with her. Just like he needs food, she feeds off sexual energy. Andrew is aware this is the type of girl you do not take home to mom but Pathrusim could care less. She is bound and determined to enslave him for life.

I like the way Good Guys Deserve Bad Girls immediately threw me into the happenings. There was good detail, making the story more visual. Pathrusim is a potent character and allows no one to push her around. Placing her with Andrew, with a shy persona, and a do-gooder, has one wondering how the two will ever mix, but once they get over their obstacles, their chemistry heats passionately. AP Miller creates an intensely hot read, rather interesting, that is witty, with antics that keep the reader in stitches. This side-splitting romp is quite entertaining.

“a titillating read”

Andrew is a wholesome, hardworking Christian who pledged to keep his body pure until he entered the binds of marriage. Pathrusim is a demoness, a succubus to be exact. Andrew saves Pathrusim from a small group of demon slayers, and is introduced to sexual desires he didn’t even know he had. Pathrusim wants to enslave Andrew, to feed upon his purity and turn him more like her.

Good Guys Deserve Bad Girls, by AP Miller is one of the most humorous tales I’ve read in a long time. AP Miller manages to walk a fine line between Andrew’s faith, and the supernatural beings that he meets. Andrew maintains the strength of his character, and his resolve throughout the tale despite numerous temptations. Pathrusim had me laughing so many times I believe I lost count. She embodied all the ranges of female emotions, and that’s before breakfast. She becomes his every fantasy while he teaches her how to accept love.

Though Andrew initially fought against his desires, he quickly succumbed to the expertise of his succubus. Their explosive desire for one another is prevalent from their first meeting until the last word is read. What makes many of the scenes so endearing is his determination to bring her as much pleasure as she gives him. They fall in love despite their best efforts. With Pathrusim’s unique abilities, each love scene is new, exciting and very hot. AP Miller’s creative play makes for a titillating read, with scenes that made me wish they could go on forever.

This fast pace tale will have you laughing out loud at Pathrusim’s many antics. Andrew just didn’t stand a chance against falling in love with her. The prevailing message is neither religious or paranormal, but that everyone deserves to be loved, and love in return.

You know what “they” say . . . . There are girls you don’t take home to mother. There are girls you don’t date on a serious basis. There are girls that are fun to be around, but that you never, ever consider for marriage. They’re not nice girls. They’re bad girls . . . and you should never fall in love with a bad girl.

Or so they say.

But if all that’s true, then what is it about bad girls that make good guys want them so very . . . badly?

Andrew is definitely a nice guy. He’s a hard-working, decent Christian fellow. Good with his hands, honest, honorable, and does the right thing by his family and his church.

Pathrusim is definitely a bad girl. About as unchristian as you can get, what with her being a demoness, straight from the pits of hell itself. She wants to wrap Andrew around her little finger, and enslave him for all eternity.

But what is it about Andrew that draws her to him? If she’s such a bad girl, why does she want so badly to have a . . . nice guy?”

MR Review
Good Guys Deserve Bad Girls
by AP Miller

Andrew is a good church-going Christian. On his way home one Saturday night from cleaning the church, he happens upon a woman that is in need of help. Being the nice guy that he is, he stops her from being attacked by two men. When she asks, he gladly offers to walk her home to make sure she is safe. Much to his surprise, she gives him one amazing present in return for saving him. But what exactly will this gift really cost him in the end?

Pathrusim, or Patti, is a succubus, and more than happy to do what it takes to get what she needs. Even if Andrew was a little reluctant at first to go along with her plan. Her goal is to get him to sign a contract for his soul. When she finally gets that much needed contract, is it the one she originally intended or will Andrew be able to save them both from the clutches of hell?

Good Boys Deserve Bad Girls is one of the best stories I have read in a good long while. It keeps you going from start to finish wondering how far Patti will go to get what she must have versus how far Andrew will go to save the girl he is coming to love with all his heart. How much is too much when it comes to doing the right thing? Is there ever not a good sacrifice to make when it comes to love? Sit back and read Good Boys Deserve Bad Girls and find out for yourself.
